Procurement Advisor
PCR 2015, Procurement Act 2023, Public Sector, Tendering
Duration: 3-6 months
Location: Glasgow or London – Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite
The purpose of the Procurement Advisor is to partner with directorates at a senior level to ensure robust, compliant procurement activity, deliver training on contract management, and support planning and execution of efficient, effective procurement and contract management practices.
Key Skills & Experience
- Have an understanding of Government Commercial and best practice procurement policies and procedures particularly with tendering experience within professional services
- Experience of working in public sector procurement
- Experience in best practice procurement, tendering and contract management including running the full tender process from start to finish.
- Experience of managing multiple tender / contract award activities at different stages of the procurement process and meeting project timelines established at the out set.
- A good understanding of prevailing procurement regulations (both PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023) and experience of applying effectively these across a wide range of activities (size, scope, complexity).
- Excellent business understanding with ability to communicate effectively, negotiate and influence.
