Our client is looking for a Private Client Paralegal

Description

Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, and related documents.

Assisting with the administration of estates, including preparing Confirmation applications, inheritance tax forms, and asset schedules.

Handling guardianship applications and other incapacity-related matters.

Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, HMRC, banks, and other third parties.

Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements (including Law Society of Scotland standards).

Providing general support to solicitors and fee earners within the Private Client team.

Supporting the development of the department’s client relationships and business development goals
Profile
-
A Paralegal qualification (ideally from the Law Society of Scotland or similar recognised body).

Demonstrable experience in Private Client law, ideally within a Scottish law firm.

Strong understanding of Scottish succession law, Powers of Attorney, and the Confirmation process.

Excellent organisational, communication, and client-care skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
