Principal Electrical Design Engineers BESS / 33kv

Our client is a major utilities contractor delivering a variety of HV and schemes in UK energy market. The are looking to appoint two principal level electrical design engineers with a background in BESS and 33kv systems on a contract basis in Scotland.

There are two project bases:

Near Edinburgh Home based three days per week, two days per week on site around an hours drive from Edinburgh

In the Shetlands – Home based, with a requirement to travel to the Shetlands two days per fortnight (expenses paid).

Ideally applicants for both roles will be based near Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The successful applicant will be acting in a technical design role, working closely with other engineers to deliver designs on a substantial portfolio of projects.

To apply for this role you must meet the following criteria:

Experienced electrical design engineer with extensive HV experience

You must have BESS and or 33kv experience

You must have technical knowledge of protection and control, cable management, and EMC

Ideally you will be degree qualified in electrical engineering

You will have experience working in a senior design role

Applicants must be autonomous, professional and comfortable dealing with senior industry stakeholders

You must be based in the UK and fully eligible to work in the UK
