Position
Principal Developer / Team Manager
This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
36 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am – 3.30pm (this day could be changed subject to agreement).
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What you will do
As Principal Developer / Team Manager, you will lead a skilled and committed development team, shaping digital solutions that make a real difference across NHS Ayrshire and Arran. You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to design, deliver and enhance systems that support service improvement and organisational priorities. You will drive digital transformation, maintain high standards in development and information governance, and create an environment where team members can grow, develop and thrive.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader with a strong background in software development and digital systems management. You will bring expertise in relevant programming languages and digital platforms, alongside proven experience in project planning, resource management and the successful delivery of digital initiatives. You will be able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and partners, and demonstrate a strong understanding of development best practice, quality assurance and information governance. Experience of supporting, mentoring and developing technical staff will be highly valued.
