Role Overview

Primary Teacher – fixed term until 25/06/2027 at Flora Stevenson Primary School. Salary: £35,022-£52,740. Hours: 35 per week.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the Learning Community Inclusion Team, you will work with school leaders, class and subject teachers, Support for Learning and Pupil Support staff to strengthen school capacity to meet the needs of children and young people with Additional Support Needs through strong universal provision and appropriate targeted support. Key areas for this work include learning, teaching and assessment; personalised support; transitions; partnerships with parents and carers; ensuring wellbeing, equality and inclusion.

This role will involve working with learners with a range of additional support needs from ages 3-18.

Required Qualifications and Checks

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide these checks. An unconditional offer and commencement in the post will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of both checks.

Salary Information

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
