We are a friendly 2 partner GP practice with 6 salaried GPs located in the South of Glasgow, our main practice is at 12 Walmer Crescent, just off Paisley Road West and right next to Cessnock Underground. We have a second surgery further along Paisley Road West, on Hillington Road South. We provide NHS primary care services to approx. 6400 patients and employ a GPN and Pharmacist. We are supported by an experienced admin team and have regular input from Advanced Physio and PCIP Pharmacy and hub.
We are looking to expand our workforce and skill mix during GP maternity leave by introducing a new nursing role to further enhance the clinical team and provide professional, safe and sustainable primary care services to our patients. We want an experienced, motivated and dynamic primary care Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The successful candidate will work between our 2 sites, between 24-27 hours per week. Salary will be dependent on experience, based on Band 7 AfC payscales.
You will be a caring and committed nurse with extensive post registration experience, and have experience working in primary care. You will demonstrate safe, competent decision making, expert care and a commitment to ethical and professional obligations of your position. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be capable of working and communicating effectively within differing environments and stakeholders, from providing compassionate care to patients to providing leadership and guidance to colleagues.
Applicants must have primary care experience at an advanced level and have achieved the appropriate master’s level qualification in advanced practice which has enabled competence in:
- Clinical assessment
- Clinical decision making
- Anatomy and pathophysiology
- Non-medical prescribing
- Research
- Practice learning/transferrable work-based learning
Essential Criteria:
- Bsc in Nursing
- MSc level education in Advanced Practice
- NMC registration
- Independent Prescriber
- High level decision making
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Work flexibly
- Ability to travel between sites

- IT skills
