Full Time – 36 hours per week

Band 8a – Salary Range £65,125 – £70,303 per annum

Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum

Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available

Are you a compassionate and dynamic nurse leader looking to make a real difference in a remote and rural community? NHS Shetland is seeking an experienced Primary Care/Community Nursing Lead to provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership across Primary Care and Community Nursing services.

Working closely with the Chief Nurse (Community & Mental Health), you will lead service improvement, workforce development, quality and professional governance, helping to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care for the people of Shetland. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, alongside experience in service redesign, change management and strategic planning. The successful candidate will bring advanced clinical assessment and decision making skills, independent prescribing expertise, and the ability to provide professional leadership while maintaining a strong clinical focus. This is an excellent opportunity to influence the future direction of Primary Care and Community Nursing services while supporting high-quality care closer to home for Shetland’s communities.
