Why You’ll Love It

If you’re a Podiatrist who feels like your development has started to plateau, this could be a very interesting move.

Our client isn’t looking for someone who already knows everything. They’re looking for a good clinician with solid foundations, the right attitude and a genuine desire to keep learning.

You’ll work alongside an experienced MSK and Foot & Ankle Specialist, gaining exposure to biomechanics, gait analysis, Diagnostic Ultrasound and advanced rehabilitation while following a structured pathway towards becoming one of the clinic’s future Senior Practitioners.

What really stood out to us was our client’s attitude. They genuinely want to bring in a great Podiatrist, invest in them properly and see how far they can develop.

And then, of course, there’s the location.

Mountains, lochs, forests and beaches are all on your doorstep. If you’re looking for career progression alongside a very different kind of lifestyle, Inverness has quite a lot going for it.

All About You

We’re looking for a Podiatrist who’s curious, motivated and excited about continuing to develop clinically.

Essential:

  • HCPC Registered Podiatrist, or eligible to obtain HCPC registration
  • Ideally at least two years’ post-registration experience
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills
  • Strong clinical foundations
  • Genuine commitment to continued learning and professional development
  • Friendly, collaborative approach

We’d love it if you also have experience or an interest in:

  • MSK or Sports Podiatry
  • Biomechanics and gait analysis
  • Orthotic therapy
  • Foot and ankle rehabilitation
  • Nail surgery
  • Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound
  • Shockwave Therapy
  • Private practice

You don’t need to tick every box. If you’ve got strong Podiatry foundations and want to develop further into MSK and advanced practice, we’d still really like to hear from you.

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll manage a varied private Podiatry caseload, including:

  • General Podiatry, nail and skin care
  • Verruca and ingrowing toenail management
  • Nail surgery
  • Foot and ankle pain
  • MSK and sports presentations
  • Biomechanics and gait assessment
  • Orthotic assessment and prescription
  • Foot and ankle rehabilitation
  • Shockwave Therapy

As your experience develops, you’ll gradually gain exposure to more advanced clinical work, supported by mentoring, training and modern diagnostic technology.

Patients are given appropriate time for thorough assessment, education and treatment rather than simply moving from one appointment to the next.

Working Hours and Environment

This is a full-time, permanent employed position.

The ideal start would be around early 2027, although our client is genuinely flexible for the right Podiatrist and can explore an earlier or later start around notice periods, relocation or individual circumstances.

Typical clinic hours are:

  • Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30am/9:00am – 5:00pm/5:30pm
  • Around one Saturday morning per month
  • No routine evening clinics

The clinic is centrally located in Inverness with modern facilities and excellent reception support. Driving isn’t essential.

Reaching Your Potential

Development here goes considerably further than the occasional CPD course.

You’ll have a structured pathway to develop advanced skills across MSK Podiatry, biomechanics, Diagnostic Ultrasound, foot and ankle rehabilitation, Injection Therapy and Independent Prescribing, with funded postgraduate development available.

As your clinical experience grows, the aim is to fast-track your progression towards becoming one of the clinic’s future Senior Practitioners.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the future direction of the clinic as the business continues to grow and explore further expansion.

Relocating to Inverness

Our client understands that relocating to the Highlands is a big decision and is committed to helping make the move easier.

Support towards initial accommodation costs is available, alongside practical advice and local knowledge to help you settle into the area.

For someone who’s ever considered swapping expensive city living and busy commutes for mountains, beaches, outdoor space and a different pace of life, this could be a brilliant time to make the move.

Due to application volumes, Recruit Therapists will contact candidates whose experience is suitable for the opportunity.
