Platers & FCAW Welders
Location: Hillington Park, Glasgow
Full-Time (40 hrs/week + 1.5x overtime)
Umbrella Contract: Until March 2026
My client is looking for experienced Platers and FCAW Welders to join our team in Glasgow. You’ll be working on major Defence and Ship Repair projects, carrying out heavy fabrication tasks both in their facility and onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Perform heavy fabrication and FCAW welding to high-quality standards
Work on Defence and ship repair projects
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Follow all safety procedures and site requirements
Carry out site-based fabrication on heavy infrastructure projects
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in heavy fabrication and/or FCAW welding
Site-based experience on heavy infrastructure projects
SVQ Level 3 + Apprenticeship Trade Papers/Certificates
Full UK Driving Licence
Full right to work in the UK.
Hours & Pay
Mon: 07:30-16:00
Tue-Thu: 07:00-18:00
Fri: 07:30-13:30
Sat: 07:30-12:30
Overtime paid at time and a half for all hours over 40
