Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Plater to join a busy fabrication team. The role involves working with structural steel, carrying out fabrication, plating, and assembly tasks to high standards of accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plating and fabrication of structural steel components.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and engineering schematics.
- Mark out, cut, shape, and assemble steelwork to required specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to quality standards.
- Operate fabrication tools, machinery, and lifting equipment where required.
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production targets.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Plater within a fabrication or structural steel environment. Marine/offshore/oil&gas experience ideal.
- Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings.
- Strong fabrication, measuring, and marking-out skills.
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Rates
23/h Umbrella co first 40 hours
34.50/h Umbrella co after 40 hours
Can go CIS.

17.17/h PAYE plus 2.07/h holiday pay
25.76/h PAYE plus 3.11/h holiday pay
Holiday pay can be accrued or advanced
