Pharmacy support worker (rotational)
Job Description
The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is the home of the West of Scotland Heart & Lung Centre and has an expanding elective centre.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Pharmacy Team. The successful applicant will manage the supply of medicines within the ward environment and the automated drug cabinet, support safe use of medicine, and ensure medicines are supplied in a timely manner across rotations between ward wise medicines management services and the dispensary.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing medicine supply in the ward and automated drug cabinet.
- Supporting safe medicine use and ensuring timely distribution.
- Rotating between ward medicines management services and the dispensary/distribution within the department.
Qualifications:
- Previous Pharmacy experience is essential.
- Ability to work a whole week rotation (5/7) and public holidays on a rota.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high standard of accuracy.
- Full training will be provided.
