Job Description
Glasgow Pharmacy Dispenser £28,000 per annum
The job: support the local community by ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication while delivering outstanding customer service in a busy, patient-focused pharmacy.
The person: An organised and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser with an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
Responsibilities in your new role as Pharmacy Dispenser
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you’ll play an important role in ensuring patients receive a safe, efficient, and friendly service. Key responsibilities include:
- Dispensing and preparing prescriptions accurately
- Supporting pharmacists with day-to-day dispensary duties
- Providing excellent customer service and answering patient queries
- Processing prescriptions and maintaining accurate records
- Managing stock levels, including ordering and rotating medicines
- Following all pharmacy procedures, legal requirements, and health and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the pharmacy
Your personality, experience and qualifications
You will be accurate, organised, and passionate about providing excellent patient care. You’ll ideally have:
- An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing
- Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A proactive and reliable approach to workproactive and reliable approach to work
- Good spoken and written English
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
