Overview
The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Directorate serves a population of approximately 380,000 people and is provided by an integrated team of around 300 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. The team works across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife.
We are looking for a flexible, hard working individual who enjoys working in a team and is willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the labeling and dispensing of medicines
- Perform stock management and reception duties
- Work at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and participate in evening, weekend and public holiday rosters at both Queen Margaret and Victoria Hospital Pharmacy Departments
Qualifications
- Pharmacy experience is not essential; full training will be provided
- Required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment
- Proof of right to work in the United Kingdom, including visa or settled status, is required before application
Location & Working Conditions
Based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, with duties at Queen Margaret and Victoria Hospital Pharmacy Departments. Appointment is on a full time basis (37 to 36 hours per week; no change in pay) with an evening, weekend and public holiday rota.
