We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable, multi-franchise approved commercial vehicle dealership in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, for a highly skilled Bus/PCV Technician.

Working Hours for the PCV Technician: – 42.5-hour week, shifts based on a weekly rotating system: 6:00am-3:00pm, 7:00am-4:00pm, and 1:00pm-10:00pm

  • Working 1 in 3 Saturdays, 7:00am-1:00pm, paid at overtime rates

Duties of the PCV Technician:

  • Conduct all vehicle service work and preventative maintenance to the highest quality standards and within manufacturer timeframes
  • Diagnosing heavy goods vehicle malfunctions through comprehensive testing and inspection
  • Carry out repairs, safety inspections, and vehicle diagnostics efficiently
  • Support colleagues with technical issues and technological advancements
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Document diagnosis results, repair actions, and safety checks accurately
  • Contribute to maintaining high customer service standards and vehicle quality

Requirements of the PCV Technician:

  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in PCV/PSV/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair as a minimum
  • At least one to two years of practical experience post-qualification as a Vehicle Technician
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a high-volume dealer environment
  • Strong team player with a committed and motivated approach
  • Motor trade experience in a franchise-approved setting essential
  • PCV driving licence advantageous but not mandatory
