What you will do
- Undertake clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and treat patients accessing out of hours services.
- Deliver care across a variety of settings including patient homes, community hospitals, and urgent care centres.
- Work autonomously to manage urgent but non life threatening presentations.
- Collaborate closely with GPs, nursing teams, NHS 24, ambulance services, and wider MDTs.
- Contribute to clinical decision making including referral to secondary care and admission avoidance.
- Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with governance and quality standards.
- Participate in audits, service improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Paramedic Science or equivalent qualification.
- Post registration experience in urgent or emergency care.
- Ability to work independently in community or primary care settings.
- Strong clinical decision making and risk assessment skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in GP out of hours, urgent care centres, or minor injury units.
- Advanced clinical assessment skills.
- Experience working in rural or remote healthcare environments.
