Production Manager
Location Edinburgh
Salary around £45,000 with flexibility for strong experience
Full time permanent
We are working with a well established manufacturing business in the marking coding and labelling systems sector, supplying packaging identification and labelling equipment into industrial and production environments. They are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead day to day operations at their Edinburgh site.
This is a senior hands on role, responsible for production, people and performance across the facility.
The role
You will be responsible for overseeing all production activity and ensuring safety, quality, delivery and efficiency targets are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities will include
• Managing all production operations including logistics maintenance and housekeeping
• Leading and developing production teams through training performance management and engagement
• Driving continuous improvement using lean and process improvement tools
• Monitoring site KPIs and putting actions in place to meet business targets
• Ensuring high standards of health and safety across the operation
• Working closely with senior management to support business strategy and growth
• Supporting customer requirements through strong operational delivery and technical understanding
What we are looking for
• Proven experience in a Production Manager or senior operations role
• Background in manufacturing, ideally within labelling, marking and coding, packaging machinery or similar industrial equipment
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Good technical understanding of production equipment and processes
• Experience of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
• Confident communicator able to work across all levels of the business
Hours
Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Friday 8:00am to 1:30pm
Flexibility required to support production when needed
Salary and package
Salary around £45,000 with flexibility for candidates with strong relevant experience
