Overview
As an Operations Manager / Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in planning, resource management, compliance, and team leadership while working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Role Details
Role Overview: Full-Time, Permanent
- Lead and manage operational teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinate and oversee project delivery across freshwater, wastewater, and utility works.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and workforce allocation across multiple projects.
- Prepare and review project reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Monitor performance, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and support staff development and training.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with technical specifications, industry standards, and environmental requirements.
- Support operational planning to maximise efficiency and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience within the freshwater, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Strong leadership, organisational, planning, and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within demanding operational environments.
- Full UK driving licence (or equivalent if outside the UK).
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
