Operations Engineer
Location: Aberdeen

About the Role
Join our client as an Operations Engineer and play a pivotal role in delivering engineering excellence across our clients subsea and topside product lines. From concept to offshore execution, you’ll be at the forefront of installation, maintenance, and technical assurance-supporting projects that enhance production and enable decommissioning worldwide.

What You’ll Do
You’ll support and lead scopes across a range of project types-from studies and R&D to equipment supply and aftermarket services. Depending on project scale, you may take full ownership or contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting offshore installation, onshore assembly, and maintenance activities
Developing and reviewing engineering designs, procedures, and technical documentation
Participating in design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and IWOPs
Supporting project planning, risk management, and schedule tracking
Ensuring compliance with HSE standards, design codes, and client specifications
Mentoring junior engineers and technicians
Representing the company at client sites, test facilities, and offshore locations globally

What You Bring
We’re looking for a technically strong, safety-conscious engineer with a passion for delivering results. You should have:
Proven experience in subsea operations, workovers, and interventions
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical control systems
Familiarity with vessel and ROV operations
Understanding of pressure vessel and pipework design principles
Proficiency in engineering materials, design codes, and testing standards
Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and lead by example

Who You’ll Work With
You’ll collaborate with internal teams across engineering, project management, and tendering, while also interfacing with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Your ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively will be key to success.

Working Conditions
Office-based in Aberdeen with regular travel to onshore and offshore sites
Worldwide assignments on rigs and vessels
Flexible working hours in line with project demands and company policy
