Job Description

Occupational Health TechnicianGovan, GlasgowSalary: £25,000 per annumHours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:45pm, Friday 8:00am – 12:30pm

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive individual to join a multidisciplinary occupational health team based at a client site in Govan near Glasgow. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing their own workload while contributing to a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out a range of health screening procedures in line with company protocols. This may include baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis

  • Conducting audiometry and lung function testing

  • Supporting the delivery of health promotion initiatives

  • Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring equipment is clean, calibrated, and fit for purpose

About You:There is no formal qualification required for this role, but suitable backgrounds may include: Health Care Assistant, Fitness Instructor, Ambulance EMT, Military Medic, Offshore Medic, or similar.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in an occupational health or healthcare setting

  • Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Confident using IT systems

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Good standard of written English and numeracy

  • Aware of the boundaries of their practice and able to work effectively under supervision
