NIGHT SHIFT CARE ASSISTANT – Edinburgh

Salary: £14.37/hour (+ holiday pay), pension and mileage allowance (40p/mile)

Hours of Work: Full time contracts (30 hrs minimum per week) and flexible 0 hour contracts

Location: Edinburgh (Corstorphine, Murrayfield, South Gyle, Cleminston, Granton, Pilton, Inverleith, Colinton, Oxgangs, Juniper Green, Currie, Sighthill, Slateford, Gilmerton, Liberton, Craigmillar, Leith, Duddingston, Craigentinny, Joppa, Portobello)

Contract Type: Full time / Casual (Bank shifts)

Summary: As a community care assistant you will support vulnerable adults in their homes during night shifts (10pm 8am). The role offers guaranteed hours, full paid training, and a supportive team.

  • No prior experience required – full training provided

Your Role as a Care Assistant in the Community

  • Assist clients with daily living tasks: meal preparation, medication prompts and general domestic support
  • Provide personal care assistance
  • Support clients in planning and provision of their care
  • Record and report daily visit information accurately
