Job Opportunity: Network Engineer (Smart Hands) – Contract Role
Location: Stirling, Scotland
Rate: negotiable dependent on experience
TXP is currently recruiting for an experienced Network Engineer (Smart Hands) to support a critical on-site installation project for one of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install a Sophos firewall and 2 x Sophos switches into a rack
- Patch WAN/LAN connections and liaise with a remote Argon engineer to test internet connectivity
- Patch switches and patch panels as directed
- Test and verify staff and guest Wi-Fi functionality
- Ensure VOIP phones are operational
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in hands-on network installations
- Familiarity with Sophos hardware (firewalls and switches)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow remote instructions
