Medical Education Administrator (Ref: 249323)
Substantive post – Part time (29 hours per week). Band 3 salary range £29,103 – £31,409 per annum pro rata and Distant Island Allowance £2,578 per annum pro rata.
Role Summary
The Medical Directorate (Acute) and Practice Education team need an administration coordinator to manage induction programmes for junior doctors and medical students, liaise with local stakeholders and university partners to ensure all training requirements are met, manage room bookings for the clinical training department and assist with organising and recording medical teaching. The holder will be the first point of contact for all medical students before arrival and will report to the Medical Directorate Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate induction programmes for junior doctors and medical students.
- Liaise with local stakeholders and university partners to ensure all training requirements are met.
- Manage room bookings for the clinical training department.
- Assist with organising and recording medical teaching sessions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all medical students prior to arrival.
- Report to the Medical Directorate Business Manager and collaborate with the Medical team and Practice Education team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Administration qualification or equivalent administrative experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide range of staff.
- Dynamic, adaptable and able to work autonomously once established in the post.
Requirements and Conditions
- Compliance with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing the role (more information at ).
