Job Description
Maxwell Consultancy are working closely with a global engineering business in their search for Mechanical Fitters – Assembly / Test. These are full time, permanent positions working from their state of the art facility in Glasgow. 4 day working week (no Fridays). Shifts are either day shift or day / night shift (2 week rotation).
What’s required?
- Time served Mechanical Fitter
- Assembly or Test of mechanical equipment
- Experience working within heavy engineering
- Work to engineering drawings
- Self inspection and completion of paperwork / checklists
- Highlight any non-conformances
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques
- Work towards continuous improvement methods within the workshop
- Adhere to health and safety procedure in the workshop at all times
- Participate in training with peers and apprentices
- Able to work efficiently and effectively on your own as well as part of a team
