Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join our Maintenance Team within the NHS Fife Central & North-East Fife Sector.
The duties involve installation and modifications to domestic electrical systems, air conditioning, generators, boiler plants, fire alarms, CCTV systems, building management systems, and more.
This role is based at Cameron Hospital but may require travel across the Central & North East Fife Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and modify domestic electrical systems, HVAC, generators, boiler plants, fire alarms, CCTV, building management systems.
- Collaborate with external contractors on project and minor work installations.
- Provide on call support with other tradesmen.
- Maintain competent person qualification through IEE Reg’s 18th Edition, City & Guilds Testing & Inspection, and SHTM 06.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed an appropriate recognised apprenticeship.
- Qualified to IEE Reg’s 18th Edition and hold a City & Guilds Testing & Inspection qualification.
- Proficient with SHTM 06 and other healthcare technical manuals to achieve competent person qualification.
- Full driving licence essential.
- Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
Working Hours and Pay
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro rata. Corresponding hourly rate increases will offset reduced hours.
