Maintenance Technician
We’re seeking a proactive, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You’ll be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of buildings at various locations in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building maintenance, including repairs to electrical, plumbing, and cladding as needed.
- Operate suitable plant equipment safely (e.g., cherry picker and/or scissor lift) – IPAF licence mandatory.
- Liaise with external contractors where necessary.
- Follow safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week – rota’d shifts between Monday and Friday, 08:00 to 17:30.
Essential Requirements
- Strong practical skills in electrical (fully qualified), plumbing, cladding, and general building; minor joinery skills would be useful.
- Experience operating cherry pickers and a valid IPAF licence (training may be provided).
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.
- Based in Newport or within a 45-minute drive radius.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS certification.
- NEBOSH health and safety qualification.
- IOSH certification.
- Own set of trade tools (tools can be supplied if needed).
