AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW – MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

The AC Hotel Glasgow blends heritage architecture with contemporary design, offering a seamless experience for our guests to focus, be present and connect. Located next to iconic George Square, our 245 rooms combine form and function, creating a harmonious atmosphere for our guests.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT AT AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW

  • Ensuring the hotel’s facilities, rooms and equipment are in excellent condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general building upkeep
  • Responding promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
  • Collaborating with the hotel team to support a smooth guest experience and address any maintenance concerns
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the maintenance areas, ensuring all equipment and tools are stored safely and appropriately
  • Keeping accurate records of work orders and maintenance tasks completed
  • Adhering to all health and safety standards, as well as hotel specific policies and procedures

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Strong attention to detail – ensuring everything is functioning properly to provide the best experience for guests and staff
  • Practical experience – previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance, or a relevant trade qualification is a plus
  • Problem solving skills – resourceful and able to tackle a variety of maintenance issues efficiently and effectively
  • Flexibility – adaptable, able to work shifts, including early mornings and weekends as needed
  • Team player – thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy helping others
  • Positive attitude – proactive approach and work well under pressure
  • Physical stamina – role requires manual work, including lifting, carrying and general physical tasks
