Job Title

Maintenance Team Member – Full Time (Hourly rate £12.73)

Reports To

Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on the property’s facilities and equipment.
  • Assist guests and colleagues regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way.
  • Undertake and manage general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, heating, carpentry and decorating.
  • Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements.
  • Perform tasks with discretion to minimise disruption to guests.
  • Actively seek to contribute to the comfort and safety of guests and visitors.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers ensuring they work within service agreements and procedures.
  • Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems.
  • Liaise with and supervise contractors and external providers to carry out work activities.
  • Assist in record keeping and keep a daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment.
  • Respect Accor’s Legionnaires’ disease directive and adhere to hotel security regulations.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s Environment Charter – saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc.
  • Actively contribute to the safety of people and property (ensure safety exits remain clear).
  • Undertake appropriate training to develop increased expertise in the area of work concerned.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of building maintenance; previous experience in the field is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Discretion, attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
