We are recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor to join a well-established but growing manufacturing business operating within a heavy industrial environment. This is a key leadership role within the maintenance team where you will lead and develop the electrical function on site, driving continuous improvement, compliance and reliability across plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a champion for electrical improvements.
Lead and deliver electrical improvement projects (planning, budgeting & execution)
Apply preventative & predictive maintenance practices to improve plant reliability
Identify & highlight long-term plant risks – support senior management with repair & investment plans
Monitor completion and quality of electrical tasks (audits and spot checks)
Identify skills gaps within the team and implement development plans
Support team retention
Ensure all statutory electrical inspections are completed in line with legislation and follow-up actions closed out
Conduct weekly safety briefings and participate in near miss reporting and safety actions
Skills & Experience Required
18th Edition qualified
Proven experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Management or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of high-voltage infrastructure
Experience with ATEX and DSEAR regulations
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motor circuits, electricity and electronics
PLC systems knowledge and experience
Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Financial management and budget control experience
Strong understanding of engineering and business principles
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (preferred)
