Job Description

Maintenance Engineer to join an established technical manufacturing business based in Forfar.

Our client is part of an established international manufacturing group, operating a large production facility in Angus with a strong reputation for quality and innovation across their sector.

What’s on offer?

  • Up to £50,000 per annum
  • Three shift rotation across days, backs and nights:

Day shift: 07:00 to 15:00 or 08:00 to 16:00

Back shift: 15:00 to 23:00 or 16:00 to 00:00

Night shift: 00:00 to 08:00

  • 48-hour on-call period required one weekend in five

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Organising and prioritising maintenance work on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Installation of plant and machinery
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns
  • Carrying out portable appliance testing
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times

To be considered as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:

  • A time-served electrical background or educated to Higher National Certificate or City and Guilds level
  • Additional training or knowledge in the mechanical discipline is advantageous
  • Working knowledge of current Electrical Regulations
  • The ability to work on your own initiative with strong communication skills
