Job title: Static Maintenance Electrician
Location: Edinburgh (Scottland)
Terms: Permanent contract – Working hours: 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off, days only 09:00 – 21:00 with participation in an out of hours on call rota, and overtime when necessary.
Salary/rate: Salary is paying 40,131 depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements: Qualifications needed consist of the below.

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Technician to join our healthcare facility’s Engineering Department. The Electrical Technician will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within the healthcare environment. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of SHTMs (Specialized Healthcare Technical Memorandum), PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and SLAs (Service Level Agreements). They will possess advanced knowledge of engineering building services installation and maintenance techniques. The Electrical Technician may also have supervisory responsibilities, providing general supervision of Craft or Operative Maintenance Assistants or leading a small team as a Shift.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate advanced competence at level 3 in theory and practice or equivalent in a relevant Electrical or Electrical discipline. Alternatively, have achieved an advanced level recognized and relevant apprenticeship. Undertake and continue training for AP/CP roles in high-risk disciplines.
Policies and Procedures: Work in accordance with Company Policies and ARTS Values. Possess an advanced understanding of policies and procedures relative to the role, ensuring compliance with these standards and maintaining high-quality outputs and standards.
Implement principles of industrial and commercial system installations and protection measures. Utilize resources effectively and demonstrate effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.

Undertake personal training and development activities, including awareness of work programs and preparation for the efficient and effective operation of the service. Stay updated on industry advancements and practices. Support the learning and development of others by providing guidance and support.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them to the best of your ability. Ensure tasks are properly closed off in the designated system following full completion. Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed. Complete work within agreed timescales and advise colleagues and managers of any obstacles to work delivery in a timely manner.
Candidate requirements:
Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Electrical Technician or similar role in a healthcare environment.
Strong knowledge of SHTM (Sottish Healthcare Technical Memorandum), PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
Excellent understanding of Engineering Building Services installation and maintenance techniques.
Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
