Job Description

Overview

Saturday hours are either 9.30 – 1pm or 2 – 6pm

Some flexibility in times

Up to 8 hours, during school holidays

Responsibilities

• Support a 6 year old autistic son on a 2:1 basis, with motivation and encouragement to maintain and enjoy an active routine
• Help him attend activities he enjoys, including outdoors, swimming, trampoline parks and beach visits
• Supervise him at all times; manage challenges as he can be energetic and has no sense of danger
• Shadow the role initially to build a trusting relationship and provide reassurance and guidance where necessary
• Support him to safely reach his potential
• Assistance with transport when needed; car driver and access to a vehicle would be helpful but is not essential

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme membership or update & references required
