STEM Recruitment Solutions is delighted to be recruiting a Permanent Machine Technician on behalf of a leading food manufacturing company based in Edinburgh.
This hands-on role is ideal for a proactive individual with a solid background in machine operation and maintenance within the food production sector. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of production machinery, supporting both operational performance and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production machinery to meet daily production targets
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime
- Monitor machine performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues
- Follow strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance work
- Report any safety hazards or mechanical concerns to supervisors promptly

- Good understanding of machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
