It also supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated, state of the art yogurt facility.

We’re recruiting Machine Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join the Blow Moulding Department at our Bellshill Dairy to operate bottle supply equipment.

Contract: Full Time

Salary: Starting from £28,186.51 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – 2 days 2 nights 7 – 7

Location: Bellshill – Glasgow

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Operation/Set up and reporting of Bottle Supply chain and de-bagging machines.
  • Accurate completion of bottle supply traceability sheets
  • Control of bottle and film waste (reprocessing and baler use)
  • Adherence to machine operating procedures
  • Drive machine performance to reduce waste costs
  • Supply lines set up and changeovers to reduce downtime
  • De-bagging fault finding
  • Assist colleagues with bottlenecks/basic problem solving
  • Adapt to changing priorities as determined by customer requirements
  • Carry out all machine safety checks
  • Maintain and drive hygiene and housekeeping standards – Grade A self-Audit
  • Completion of relevant bottle supply documentation / Log Books
  • Supply performance reporting and recording

Muller Responsibilities:

  • Meet all output requirements as determined shift manager
  • Operate all equipment safely, achieving required quality standards
  • Drive machine performance to reduce waste costs
  • Be customer focused at all times (internal and external colleagues)
  • Assist colleagues with bottlenecks/ basic problem solving
  • Adapt to changing priorities as determined by customer requirements
  • Ensure work area is maintained and clean and tidy
  • Perform advance site cleaning duties.

Demonstrable skills, experience and knowledge within the following:

  • Experience of audits desirable
  • Experience of working with stakeholders desirable
  • Excellent team worker
  • Food manufacturing experience desirable
  • Working in a fast paced environment
