Job Description

Hiring a Locum Consultant Dermatologist with a Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent to assist with dermatology referral triage. Pay rate: Up to £2500 per day!

Position Details

National Locums is hiring Consultant Dermatologists and SPR/Associate Specialists for various roles, including:

• Minor operations
• Biologics
• 2-week wait clinics
• WLI and patient backlog clearance

Pay rates range from £800 to £2500 per day. Most work is private clinic-led, paid via limited company, umbrella, or self-employment. The contract duration is from 3 months up to 1 year. Candidates must be able to see general dermatology patients referred by GPs, conduct investigations, diagnose conditions, and recommend treatments.

Responsibilities

• Refer patients back to GPs with ongoing management advice when appropriate
• Refer patients for specialist opinions (Senior Consultant Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon, or Dermatology Nurse) when necessary
• Collaborate with and support dermatology nurse specialists in patient reviews and case advice
• Perform diagnostic biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, and cautery procedures

Support includes nursing assistance during clinics.
