The Walk In Service hosted by Out Of Hours Primary Care (GMED) service is currently looking to recruit Assistant Dispatchers to join our dynamic and responsive team.
You will support the service in the provision of Walk In Service in Aberdeenshire. Walk in services are designed to give people same day access to urgent primary care without needing an appointment. These services are part of a major national pilot programme supported by the Scottish Government.
You will be an enthused person who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the post involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team and dealing with members of the public and other departments and organisations in a mature and confident manner.
The successful applicants will co ordinate use of clinical recourses for the Walk In Service which is operational between 12.00 until 20.00 Monday to Sunday. Please note that the service operates during Public Holidays and Festive Periods as well.
The role requires an accurate and methodical team member who is prepared to work on their own initiative whilst under pressure, excellent accuracy and attention to details. Previous experience as healthcare support worker would be an advantage, but is not required.
Location: Inverurie
Available hours: various hours over a 4 week rota.
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months, with consideration to be appointed on Bank.
