Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate registered healthcare professional to join our Immunisation Team delivering the national vaccination programme across Aberdeenshire Vaccination Centres.

As an Immunisation Nurse, you will:

  • Prepare and administer vaccines safely in line with PGDs, protocols, and national standards.
  • Provide clear information, reassurance, and support to patients and carers.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and support the safe running of vaccination clinics.
  • Work flexibly across a range of settings, including pre-school clinics, community clinics, schools, housebound visits, and care homes.
  • Participate in vaccination education and health promotion.

You should be:

  • A registered nurse, midwife, or allied health professional with current NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Confident in working independently within scope of practice and as part of a wider team.
  • Committed to high standards of clinical care, infection prevention, and patient safety.
  • Possessing a full UK driving licence and able to travel within Aberdeenshire as required.
  • Able to work Monday to Friday, usually a 7.5 hour or 12 hour shift between , depending on service need.
