Based in Inverclyde, our shipbuilding client requires a Liaison Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

- Experience in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Capable of reading drawings
- Production experience highly desirable
- Drawing office / design experience highly desirable

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Day to day point of contact for production staff
- Attend production plan of the day meetings
- Respond to questions raised by the production team, either to directly solve the problem or to capture it in a TQ form in sufficient detail to allow another member of the engineering team to resolve it
- Engage with planning to schedule open TQs to be worked on by the engineering team
- Follow up on TQs raised directly by production to ensure the problem is correctly understood and the right person is engaged to solve it
- Record TQs and maintain the TQ register, tracking TQs to closure, keep production up to date with progress on solving problems
- Inform the rest of the engineering team of opportunities to improve in future, support implementation of lessons learned
