Governance and Quality Enhancement
Grade 8: £44,746 – £56,535 (with progression possible to £63,606)

This post supports key areas of corporate governance, ensuring compliance with current and emerging legislation. The successful candidate will be the University’s designated Data Protection Officer, providing effective counsel on internal regulations, policies and procedures, including Complaints, Student Discipline and Fitness to Practice. They will also provide a proficient secretariat to designated senior committees of the University as directed by the University Secretary.
The successful candidate will have a law degree and a minimum of three years’ post qualifying experience. They must have expertise and understanding of data protection laws and practices, including the GDPR, and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as demonstrable judgement and ability to provide effective advice and recommendations.
Knowledge and experience of higher education policy, dispute resolution, and delivering training activities is desirable.
