Lead Sourcing Specialist
The Baker Hughes internal title for this role is: Sourcing Specialist – Sourcing Initiatives
Responsibilities
- Sourcing suppliers and technologies required for a 21st Century global and regional operation.
- Working in a collaborative manner with multi-cultural suppliers and situations within the region.
- Have ownership for Sourcing policies and procedures within the business.
- Be the Gatekeeper on Sourcing & Procurement policy and procedures.
- Supply chain and Relationship management at the cutting edge of supply chain innovation.
- Contributing to projects as a team member or leading projects.
- Running and managing Sourcing projects through Ariba involving contract discussion and negotiation.
- Contract negotiations and contract drafting.
- Owning Commercial outcomes and results.
- Solving problems and providing sustainable solutions.
- Reporting and data analysis.
- Contributing to KPI’s.
- Category Management.
- Procurement management – requisition to fulfilment.
- Owning the complete Source to Pay model.
Qualifications
- Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with experience in Sourcing).
- Strong work experience in Direct sourcing / procurement / Supply chain Management.
- Strong Contract Management experience.
- Commodity Management experience (good to have).
- Experience in ERPs like SAP or Oracle.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Permanent work permit in UK.
