Lead Nurse: Role Summary

The Lead Nurse will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the Urology & ENT Service supporting the achievement of organisational and directorate objectives and quality standards.

The post holder will be a credible leader and have a consistent approach to supporting the clinical and managerial teams in the delivery and achievement of high quality compassionate and person-centred care, whilst simultaneously driving quality initiatives and financial efficiency across the Directorate.

The Lead Nurse must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, ensuring robust governance processes in place to support the delivery and assurance of excellent person-centred care. Applicants should be First Level Registered Nurse with extensive experience as a Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse/equivalent with a first level degree/supplemented/equivalent.
