Lead Cyber Security Consultant (Hybrid – Glasgow)
We’ve partnered with an innovative fintech company based in Glasgow that’s looking for a Lead Cyber Security Consultant to help shape their security landscape and protect their cutting-edge platforms. This role offers a unique blend of strategic influence and hands-on technical work, ideal for someone passionate about building secure systems and leading teams, working alongside the Head of Cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity strategies to strengthen the company’s security framework.
- Act as the go-to expert for cloud, application, and infrastructure security.
- Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, promoting best practices and a proactive security mindset.
- Automate security processes and compliance checks using modern DevSecOps tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into software development and cloud operations.
- Proactively identify and respond to security threats using SIEM tools and vulnerability management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security and threat detection.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and security automation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of security risks (OWASP Top 10) and best practices.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of developing and managing security teams.
