General Labourer Tranent, East Lothian
Shift: Monday Thursday, 8:45 p.m. 7:00 a.m.
Pay Rate: £23.00 per hour
Overtime Rate: £30.00 per hour
Payment: CIS / PAYE Umbrella
Contract: 13-week probationary period
Location: Tranent, East Lothian
We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Yard Operatives / General Labourers to join a busy industrial yard in Tranent.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Moving steel and aluminium materials around the workshop and yard
- Preparing materials for galvanising and dispatch
- Checking incoming deliveries and paperwork
- Inspecting galvanised materials for quality and accuracy
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Following all company health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines
- Positive attitude and strong team-working ethic
- Previous yard or industrial experience advantageous
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
