Position Overview

Teach South is seeking a KS2 Teacher for a full time, temporary role in Newhaven, starting September 2026. The daily salary ranges from £200 to £300. This position involves teaching a Year3 class, planning and delivering creative lessons across the Key Stage2 curriculum, supporting pupils during their transition, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Location: Newhaven, East Sussex. Contract: Full Time. Start Date: September2026. Salary: £200-£300 per day (paid to scale).

This role is open to experienced teachers or early career teachers (ECT).

Responsibilities

  • Inspire children to reach their full potential and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
  • Teach across the Year3 curriculum, supporting children as they transition into Key Stage2.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
  • Has strong knowledge of the Key Stage2 curriculum.
  • Is passionate about helping children learn and develop.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed, creative, and enthusiastic about making a difference.
