Junior Sous Chef
The Junior Sous Chef will work alongside the line chefs to ensure every dish is prepared to our high standards. This is a hands on role – perfect for someone who loves being actively involved in the kitchen, cooking on section, leading by example, and working with a passionate team to create memorable culinary experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring correct prep levels by our dedicated prep team.
- Ensuring deliveries and stock are put away correctly by the Goods Receiver.
- Temperature records.
- Junior staff wellbeing.
- Checking cleaning rotas are completed.
- Monitoring and training staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for learning and growth.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and basic culinary techniques.
