Job Description

IT Support Engineer (2nd Line) required for a Managed Service Provider based in Edinburgh. – On site role.

They are a small team based in Edinburgh who have been providing managed services for over 20 years to their clients across East Lothian. They are a close sociable team who are heavily invested in training, upskilling their employees to help progress through the business. They are looking for a motivated individual to join them and provide extensive support to clients, with the chance to expand your skill set and get hands on with projects such as exposure to cyber security and migrating on prem over to O365.

You will provide 2nd line support both remotely and on site for around 250 users, taking end to end ownership of tickets coming through, with some exposure to 3rd line support too. You will currently be working within a similar environment, engaging with different customers, and providing support across multiple platforms. The majority of tickets are resolved remotely however, on occasion you may have to travel to a client site, so a full UK drivers license is essential.

You will have the following Skills/Experience –

Experience with Windows

Strong experience in a similar position – troubleshooting hardware and software

Exposure and an understanding of TCP/IP, routers, and firewalls

Strong communication and customer service experience

Experience with O365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Intune

Experience working with Mac would be beneficial

The salary on offer is circa 28K- 36K depending on experience along with a strong benefits package including, life assurance cover, 30 days holidays (including public) which build with length of service and much more.
