Investigating Officer
Location: Edinburgh City Centre (with travel across the city)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: 23.56 per hour
Duration: Temporary – 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Pertemps are proud to be working with our large public sector organisation in Edinburgh to recruit an experienced Investigating Officer on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong investigative skills who thrives in a fast-paced and meaningful role.
Your Role:
As an Investigating Officer, you’ll be at the heart of crucial decision-making and resolution processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of investigations (disciplinary, grievance, whistleblowing)
- Conducting interviews and preparing thorough investigation reports
- Reviewing and recording all information accurately
- Analysing complex information and identifying key issues
- Escalating cases appropriately and liaising with internal stakeholders
- Producing detailed and accurate meeting notes
- Supporting related administrative and procedural tasks as needed
