Job Description
Role: Industrial Electrician
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Up to £40,000 Depending on experience
My client is looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician to work within industrial environments carrying out installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems
- Fault-finding on motors, control panels, switchgear, and distribution systems
- Working with 3-phase systems and industrial machinery
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Testing and inspection of electrical installations
- Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with 3 phase systems and industrial control equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- PLC fault-finding knowledge
- Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, utilities, or FMCG
- Experience with motors, inverters, and control systems
- IPAF or PASMA certification
