Job Description
HSSU Co Ordinator, Glasgow Hospital – Sterile Services, Permanent, Full Time, £25,545 per annum, 37.5 Hours per week.

Main Duties
- Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes.
- Process used surgical instruments for dispatch to receiving sterile surgical equipment and support the theatre team.
- Be competent in following strict infection prevention standards for the decontamination of endoscopic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date.
- Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy.
- Regularly check that equipment is in good working order and report any faults.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
- Take action to rectify any problems and, where necessary, escalated issues.
Qualifications
- Decontamination qualification and experience within a decontamination setting.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong organisational skills.
