Job Description
A leading European food group is seeking a Site HSE Lead / Manager at their Glasgow-area facility.
A new role to the structure, the Site HSE Lead / Manager will be responsible for ensuring the relevant regulatory controls, processes and systems are in place to build and lead the site safety culture from the ground up.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and safety audits.
- Designing and delivering engaging training programs on all health and safety topics.
- Maintaining meticulous training records and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring compliance with H&S regulations through regular inspections and audits, preparing and submitting detailed reports to senior management.
- Liaising with regulatory agencies and ensuring timely reporting of incidents as required.
- Leading investigations into workplace accidents and incidents, maintaining a robust incident reporting system.
- Fostering a proactive safety culture through effective communication and engaging initiatives, including organising safety awareness campaigns, workshops, and events.
The successful HSE Lead / Manager will will have the NEBOSH certificate as a minimum, (support provided to work towards Diploma level.), with previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (Food, pharma, packaging etc).
