HRA Consents Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland
Responsibilities
- Support the team in delivery implementation of the Habitat Regulations Assessments including maters relating to derogation and compensation for offshore habitats.
Requirements
- A background encompassing implementation of the Habitats Directive is preferable.
- A background and knowledge in offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology is desirable.
- Experience of application of derogation under HRA and development and/ot implementation of compensatory measures is desirable.
- Experience of consenting and preferably a good understanding of NSIP/DCO and Marine Licensing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach when addressing consenting issues coupled with a solution minded outset.
- Skills to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A commercial approach to work, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to manage risk, achieve viable solutions to consenting issues and support overall project objectives.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce high quality work to deadlines and work flexibly to respond to changing priorities.
- Work effectively both independently, and as part of the team, deputising for senior colleagues and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
